STRESSED OUT!
Stressed Out! is an educational drama project created by Precipice Theatre and student actors in consultation with Banff Public Health and Community Care and the Town of Banff Community Services.

The purpose of the play is to inform student audiences - in an entertaining way - some of the major causes of stress in their live's: high expectations; family problems; peer pressure; friends & relationships; time pressure and the future. Through the course of the play a number of successful stress reduction strategies will be highlighted: exercise; good nutrition; life balance; positive thoughts and talking out concerns.

The play is set in the form of a game show where young contestants must answer a series of skill testing questions about stress and stress reduction in order to get to the challenge match - a final round where the finalists must make it through a very stressful day of your average 11 year old!

Larger than life props and costumes, and a young cast of fourteen - grade five and six students - will guarantee lots of laughs and learning for student audiences between grades 4 - 6. The play is approximately 40 minutes in length with a 15 minute discussion period at the end of the play facilitated by the actors, Headwaters Health Authority - Banff Public Health and Community Care, and Town of Banff Community Services staff.
