Precipice Theatre Society is a performance group based in Banff, Alberta. We are committed to "Acting to make a difference in our environment." The group was formed in response to the need for creative approaches to environmental awareness. Precipice Theatre works in conjunction with other environmentally concerned groups creating original plays on current issues. ![]()

Stikine/Stickeen - Story theatre promoting protection of the protection of the Stikine River in Northern B.C.
Stumped - A deforestation murder mystery
Cowabunga - Livestock love story about overgrazing in wilderness areas of Alberta
Watershed of Tears - A musical water fantasy about the Alberta Water Resources Act
Nature Bats Last - Baseball, Birds and the Boreal forest
Tales from the Sari-Sari - International Theatre project (Canada/Phillipines) highlighting Community Sunstainability
Through a Tire Swing - Children's musical fantasy focusing on environmental stewardship
Corridor Croquet - Mountains, Mallets, and Musical Comedy about wilderness corridors (Yellowstone to Yukon)
Splash & Ripple - Along the Ribbon of Life - A musical journey along the shoreline of a lake, river, wetland, ocean and your imagination (Living By Water Project)

As well as creating and performing new works, the group conducts workshops and shares material and expertise with other groups interested in developing similar productions in their own communities. Through this range of activities, Precipice Theatre opens doors for audience members to personally take action on environmental issues.
